This course uses the nurse-midwife/nurse practitioner management process as a framework for developing critical thinking and diagnostic reasoning skills needed for caring for the primary care client. Focus includes: recognition of symptom patterns; selection and interpretations of common screening and diagnostic laboratory tests; communication of information using SOAP format; consideration of client as partner in the diagnostic process. Prerequisite: PC600. Prerequisite or concurrent: PC604.
