3 hours. Prepares students with an understanding of operating systems structure and operation including the concepts of processes, resource and file management, and performance. Students also develop an understanding of operating system design, systems software and maintenance, as well as gain proficiency in the development of useful scripts, device drivers and utility programs written in high-level languages and native scripting environments.
