Complex numbers, analytic functions, mapping by elementary functions, contour integration including the Cauchy-Gaursat theorem, the Cauchy integral formula, Morera's theorem and the fundamental theorem of algebra, infinite series - Taylor and Laurant expansions, and integration and differentiation of power series - residues and poles. Conformal mapping with application, if time permits. Offered alternate springs, next 2005. Prerequisite: MAT 222 CREDIT THREE SEMESTER HOURS
