An intensive study of elementary functions and their properties. Topics include fundamentals of algebra and coordinate geometry, functions, polynomial and rational functions, exponential and logarithmic functions, trigonometric functions of real numbers, trigonometric functions of angles, mathematical induction and an introduction of probability. Prerequisite: Students who hope to take calculus with a qualifying placement test score or special permission by department chair. Offered every Fall. CREDIT: THREE SEMESTER HOURS.
