Learning disabilities is a dynamic and expanding field. Learning disabled individuals are found across all ages, socioeconomic levels, races and their problems range from mild to severe. This course seeks to provide a greater knowledge about the nature of learning disabilities and proven methods for enhancing academic and social success for the learning disabled person. This course offers a comprehensive coverage of the field. Through many theories and practices it presents a balanced approach to teaching learning disabled individuals. Practicum is required. Prerequisite: Senior status or permission of the department. CREDIT: THREE SEMESTER HOURS.
