An introduction to non-representational sculpture constructed with clay. This will involve a variety of hand building methods that combine custom designed elements produced by the slab roller, hump molds, and the extruder. Surface paints will be applied to finished kiln fired pieces. This course satisfies state requirements for teacher certification in 3-D art. CREDIT THREE SEMESTER HOURS.
