Credits: 3 Prerequisites: None Corequisites: None Type: SEM Provides students with the ability to discover, distinguish, recognize, and analyze the elements of theatre in contemporary American culture. Areas to be examined include other branches of the arts, family celebrations, social and political events, annual feasts and holidays, mass media including commercials and advertisements, sports events, paratheatre activities, and others. In each of these phenomena, we examine elements of theatre, such as script, acting, staging, costumes, lighting, and musical score.
