Considers how educational institutions can respond to conditions and issues that exist in urban environments. Reviews challenges confronting communities and urban education e.g., urban problems, community relations, environmental design, and government policies related to education and urban development. Explores and identifies opportunities for collaboration and partnerships between urban education institutions and community planning. Involves lectures, discussions, and fieldwork.
