Enables students to understand the relationship among contact, trade, tourism, economics, and cultural confluence. Places art and native women at the center as ongoing strategies for survival. Demonstrates the conflation of Victorian aesthetics with Iroquoian, Algonquian, Cree, Micmac, and Ojibwa traditions in the art.
