Provides a theoretical and scientific basis for understanding how various structural systems and structural materials work and withstand loading. Investigates the concepts introduced during the course with qualitative methods, as well as quantitative analysis. The course s scope is limited to examining simple structural elements, such as trusses, beams, and columns.
