(Same as SURG 211A. Graduate students register for 211A.) Basics of life support outside the hospital setting; readiness training for emergencies on- or off-campus. Topics include emergency patient assessments, and cardiac, respiratory, and neurological emergencies. Lectures, practicals, and applications. Upon completion of SURG 111A,B,C or 211A,B,C, students are eligible to sit for the National Registry EMT licensure exam.
