Beyond conventional use of paper as a foundation for mark making to its potential as a medium in its own right. Students experiment with papers to develop facility with techniques of folding, scoring, curling, cutting, tearing, piercing, embossing, layering, and binding to create three-dimensional forms, patterned/textured surfaces, reliefs, interactive dynamic structures such as pop-ups, containers, and book forms.
