Introduction to the fundamental laws and concepts of electricity and magnetism, electromagnetic devices, electromagnetic behavior of materials, applications to simple circuits, electromagnetic radiation, and an introduction to optical phenomena. Prerequisite: PHGN100/110, concurrent enrollment in MATH213/223. 2 hours lecture; 4 hours studio; 4.5 semester hours.
