3 HOURS A course designed to provide a basic knowledge of music teaching techniques in K-6, including a functional knowledge of guitar and behavior management strategies. Includes school observations, peer and supervised teaching opportunities, and development of standardsbased curricula. Models of instruction include Orff, Kodaly, Dalcroze, and Gordon. Prerequisite: MUS 303 or 304 and admission to Teacher Education. (Spring)
