3 HOURS This course provides an essential foundation for teaching an applied instrument through private lessons. The class focuses on teaching techniques and evaluations of materials relevant to the applied instrument of each student taking the course. Business and professional issues facing the independent studio teacher will be covered as well as planning a well-rounded studio curriculum including music theory, music history, chamber music, improvisation, summer camps, and uses for technology.
