3 HOURS An in-depth study of the key social, political, and economic developments in the U.S. since 1950. Particular emphasis will be given to the Cold War, the counter-culture movements of the 1960s, the Civil Rights Movement, the emergence of a strong Women's Movement, the American War in Vietnam, and the conservative backlash of the 1980s. Issues of ethnocentrism, cultural diversity, and shifting demographic patterns will also be discussed. (With suf cient student demand)
