3 HOURS The course consists of the principles of nutrition with respect to basic body needs; nutrients and foods needed to satisfy those needs; and when nutrient intake is adequate, de cient, or excessive. The disease prevention and control part of the course will discuss the host-agentenvironment interaction process along with the causes of disease, measures for their prevention and speci c disease etiology.
