3 HOURS EACH The laws and theories of chemistry including thermodynamics, phase equilibria, quantum mechanics and kinetics will be interpreted through the application of fundamental mathematical and physical principles. Statistical methods and concepts will be introduced during the study of the kinetic molecular theory of gasses, statistical thermodynamics, and quantum mechanics. Prerequisite: CHEM 122 and one year each of calculus and physics. (Fall, Spring 2006-2007)
