Focus will be placed on the importance of knowledge, skills, and understanding essential to appreciate individuals from diverse cultural groups. Concepts and principles will be used to compare and analyze cultural beliefs, customs, lifestyles, and behaviors impacting health care practices in selected cultural groups. Issues and trends will be explored. Exercises and scenarios to promote an appreciation of cultural richness will be presented. This course is applicable for general elective credit only. Open to all students. (Offered on sufficient demand)
