This course explores the chronological context of human invention, from the first hand tools to the latest space travel, and addresses the positive and negative consequences of the scientific and technological advancement. Human life and problems are intimately tied to technological changes, defining who we are, the terms of our existence, and how we interact with others. This course examines how technology alters human landscape and cultures, how it dominates the character and the quality of our lives, and how humans adapt to these rapid changes and face the new ethnical dilemmas.
