This course is an examination of the human condition seen through the world view of American/Cuban politics and media. The course addressed the current enmeshed relationship of Cuba's political and mass communication systems with the United States. The impact of Cuban politics on America's political and mass media systems will be examined starting with the Spanish American War and continuing to present day. Cultural immersion through travel to Cuba provides a major experiential learning component.
