Prerequisite(s): PSYC 001, PSYC 002, PSYC 011, PSYC 012, PSYC 152, and PSYC 160 with grades of ìC-ì or better; or equivalents; or consent of instructor.Provides an overview of behavioral and emotional disorders affecting children and adolescents within a developmental context. Examines disorders affecting youth in terms of prevalence, developmental course, and theories. Topics include theoretical models of child psychopathology; diagnostic, assessment, and treatment practices; and the descriptive psychopathology of major childhood disorders.
