Covers topics inmechanics, thermodynamics, and electromagnetism. Includes fluid mechanics; temperature and heat; the laws of thermodynamics; kinetic theory of gases; electric fields and potentials; current and DC circuits; capacitance and inductance; magnetism; and Faraday's law. For biological sciences students. Credit is awarded for only one of PHYS 002B or PHYS 040B.
