Examines the character and consequences of several recent movements in continental philosophy, including hermeneutics, structuralism, deconstruction, and critical theory. Authors discussed include Heidegger, Gadamer, Habermas, Derrida, and Foucault. Credit is awarded for only one of PHIL 152 or PHIL 252.
