Studio, 2-4 hours. Prerequisite(s): upper-division standing or consent of instructor. Study and performance of the Filipino rondalla, an ensemble consisting of various sizes of lutelike and guitar-like instruments. Discussions focus on Filipino culture. Normally graded Satisfactory (S) or No Credit (NC), but students may petition the instructor for a letter grade on the basis of assigned extra work or examination. Course is repeatable.
