An in-depth introduction to Vietnamese history in the twentieth century that covers the three Indochina Wars (1945-1986) primarily from different Vietnamese perspectives. Begins with experiences during French colonial rule and then covers anti-colonial movements, periods of French and American military involvement to 1975, post-war society, and post- doi moi society.
