Analysis of Chicano/Latino men and masculinity in historical and comparative perspective. Examines social construction and expression of manhood and masculinity in a cross-national context and the range and varieties of masculinities in Latino America. Critically evaluates and deconstructs common myths, stereotypes, and misconceptions about men, machismo, and masculinity. Fulfills the Social Sciences requirement for the College of Humanities, Arts, and Social Sciences.
