Survey and analysis of cinematic works by and/or about Asian Americans. Topics include studies of forms and genres; viewing and interpretive practices; the conditions of production, distribution, and reception; as well as thematic concerns such as history and memory, the politics of identity, community, social justice, gender, and sexuality. Fulfills the Humanities requirement for the College of Humanities, Arts, and Social Sciences.
