A comparative and historical analysis of subordinated communities and law with special emphasis on integrating theoretical understanding of racial, class, and gender subordination. Field experience working directly with groups that have traditionally lacked equal access to the legal and judicial system. Cross-listed with SOC 145. Fulfills the Social Sciences requirement for the College of Humanities, Arts, and Social Sciences.
