An issueoriented approach to understanding the scientific principles behind environmental issues. Case studies of environmental issues appearing in the mass media provide the context for assessing the status of scientific knowledge and its role in human decision making. Satisfactory (S) or No Credit (NC) grading is not available. Credit is awarded for only one of ENSC 003 or ENSC 003H.
