This course provides an overview of the Asian experience in the United States from the midnineteenth century immigration to Hawaii and the U.S. Pacific coast to the present. The Asian experience is compared and contrasted with that of African Americans and Chicanos/Latinos. Fulfills either the Humanities or Social Sciences requirement for the College of Humanities, Arts, and Social Sciences, but not both.
