This course focuses on issues of scriptural and mythical analysis. Possible areas covered include: the impact of scripture and myth on literatures written in English; the textual development of the Hebrew Scripture and its analogues, including the development of the King James version; major authors' uses of scripture and myth; the history of scriptural and mythological exegesis; the place of scripture and myth in current criticism and theory. Course is repeatable as topics change.
