Discussion, 1-2 hours. Prerequisite(s): concurrent enrollment in a qualifier course. Provides individual and group instruction in support of writing-intensive courses designated as qualifier courses. Focuses on interpreting the qualifier course's assignments; developing topics; preparing, editing, and revising drafts. Qualifier courses are offered by various departments to give eligible students an opportunity to meet the University of California Entry Level Writing Requirement while earning baccalaureate credit. Students may obtain information about qualifier courses by contacting the Writing Resource Center. Students should be formally enrolled prior to the beginning of instruction and should attend the first meeting to avoid being dropped from the class. Graded Satisfactory (S) or No Credit (NC).
