A focused study of ideas, forms, or movements within the field of minority discourse that emphasizes comparative readings. Possible topics include African American and Latino prison narratives, Asian American and Latino immigrant writing, movement literature of the 1960s and 1970s, independent publishing, "growing-up" narratives, and issues ofidentity, culture, and aesthetics.
