Examines fundamental programming concepts using the Matlab language, including problem decomposition, control structures, elementary data structures, file input/output, graphics, and code libraries. Focuses on applications problems in engineering and science, such as numerical equation solvers; matrix operations; searching and sorting; and data analysis. Emphasizes good programming style and computational efficiency.
