Comparative examination of the early development of Western medical traditions in classical Greece and the origins and development of the Chinese medical systems now referred to as traditional Chinese medicine, with specific attention to their cultural and social contexts. Cross-listed with AST 132, CHN 132, and CLA 132. Fulfills either the Humanities or Social Sciences requirement for the College of Humanities, Arts, and Social Sciences, but not both.
