Prerequisite(s): VNM 005 or equivalent or a sufficiently high test score on the Vietnamese placement examination as determined by the department faculty or consent of instructor. Designed to develop fluency in Vietnamese to the level of intellectual conversation. Emphasis is on reading and writing of Vietnamese literature and criticism, visual culture, and discussion of current issues of Vietnamese society.
