Lecture, 4 hours; discussion, 2 hours. Prerequisite(s): none. Intensive introduction to Japanese, with emphasis divided among speaking, reading, writing, and understanding. The intensive JPN 010A and JPN 010B sequence covers the same material as the normal JPN 001, 002, and 003 sequence. Credit is awarded for only one of the JPN 001, JPN 002, and JPN 003 or JPN 010A and JPN 010B sequences.
