Lecture, 3 hours; discussion, 1 hour. Prerequisite(s): MATH 010A, MATH 046; or consent of instructor. An introduction to fluid statics, fluid flow, flow of compressible and incompressible fluids in conduits and open-channel flow, flow past immersed bodies, transportation and metering of fluids, and agitation and mixing of liquids. Credit is awarded for only one of CHE 114 or ME 113.
