Lecture, 3 hours; laboratory, 3 hours. Prerequisite(s): BIOL 005A and BIOL 005B or equivalents; CHEM 112A, CHEM 112B, CHEM 112C or equivalents; or consent of instructor. Introduction to principles of insect physiology. Subjects include growth, development and hormones, cuticle, nervous system, circulation, respiration, digestion, nutrition, excretion, reproduction, water balance, and temperature relations.
