Lecture, 3 hours; laboratory, 3 hours. Prerequisite(s): ART 131/MCS 131 or ART 139 or ART 150/MCS 150. Designed to encourage the development of individual projects utilizing digital technology. Areas of inquiry may include, but are not limited to, digital imaging, Web-based works, forms of digital publishing, digital video, and digital multimedia installation. Involves laboratory exercises, lectures, discussion of articles and exhibitions, and self-directed assignments. Course is repeatable to a maximum of 12 units.
