This course in dramatic literature examines a select group of playtexts that are acknowledged masterpieces and which have been especially inuential in theatre history. Plays studied may include ancient Greek, early modern, Elizabethan, and Restoration comedy texts, as well as an assortment of 19th and early 20th century classics.
