3 credit hours This course provides an overview of paid and unpaid ministry roles in congregations, outdoor ministry settings, and church-related agencies. An historical understanding of ministry includes models of leadership development and personal spiritual formation to provide a context for ministry tasks. Rural, urban, multicultural, and international settings will be profiled. Gifts assessment and development is explored as a model for contemporary ministry strategies.
