2 credit hours This course acquaints the student with the therapeutic use of oxygen and other medical gases. The indications for the medical uses of carbon dioxide and helium, hyperbaric oxygen therapy, compressed gas production, gas storage, gas delivery and medical gas safety and precautions will be included. The student will also learn how to determine how the body uses various gases.
