PHY 162 - Physics for Scientists II

5 credit hours Prerequisite: PHY 161 and MTH220. This course covers the basic concepts and theories of electricity, magnetism, optics and introductory Modern Physics. The laboratory sessions are used to explore the main concepts. This course meets at the same time as PHY 152. There is an additional class meeting each week in which calculus and computer tools are applied to the physics topics. Students cannot receive credit for both PHY 152 and PHY 162.
