4 credit hours Prerequisites: MTH 140 or two years high school algebra and one year high school geometry. This course continues the study of the algebra of the real number system. Specific topics include inductive reasoning, relations, as well as linear, quadratic, circular, composite, polynomial and exponential functions. Students develop skills necessary for success in other courses and disciplines. Students learn to think logically and rationally about problem solving using examples from a variety of disciplines.
