4 credit hours Prerequisite: Completion of a high school biology course. This course serves as a scientific literacy courses. Through the laboratory and class experiences, students will gain knowledge of the many diverse fields of biology including cellular and molecular biology, genetics, botany, zoology, classification, ecology, evolution, and environmental science. Students will examine the areas and understand how they are interconnected in a sustainable earth. This course is recommended for non-science majors and does not count towards the Biology major. Laboratory included.
