Description:

A general survey of the major non-Christian religions of the world. Although this course provides an introduction to the basic characteristics of preliterary religions (e.g., Animism), its primary emphasis is upon the living religions of today--Judaism, Islam, Hinduism, Buddhism, Shintoism, and Confucianism. The course gives particular attention to the history of the religion and to the comparative concepts of holiness, sin, salvation, eternal life, and the corporate worship expressions of these religions.
