Methods and theories of curriculum development beyond the elementary level; skill competency; operational and supervisory practices; social trends; legislative issues; and competency-based education. Students will become competent in applying assessment strategies for the improvement of student learning. A study of state mandated assessment is included. An emphasis on wellness will be incorporated. A field experience is included within the scope of this course.
