An introduction to the drugs and their indications and actions used in the sports medicine of clinical setting. The current standards for administering drugs prescribed by a physician, giving out non-prescription drugs, and using pharmacokinetics in rehabilitation will be covered. Drugs commonly seen in the clinical setting (cardiovascular medications, etc.) will be examined, along with their effects on the exercise test, The course will also look at commonly prescribed drugs (such as cold remedies and antibiotics) and their effects on performance. Emphasis will be placed on identification of drugs by class and action. Interaction and signs/symptoms of overdose and abuse will be discussed. Three Hours, Spring, Even Years
